How TipHub works

A booking code is a short reference — something like 8KJ23A— that a bookmaker gives you for a bet slip you've built. Anyone with the code can load the exact same selections into their own account in one step, instead of adding every match by hand.

Codes are how tips already move around Nigerian betting WhatsApp groups and Telegram channels. The problem has never been sharing them. It's that you have no way of knowing whether the person sharing them is any good.

When a creator publishes a SportyBet code here, we don't take their word for what's in it. We ask SportyBet. The bookmaker returns the actual selections and the actual odds, and those replace whatever the creator typed.

That matters because odds feed straight into a creator's win rate and ROI. Without the check, a creator could post one real code and describe a completely different bet alongside it.

After the last match kicks off, we poll the bookmaker for the real result and settle the ticket from it — leg by leg. You can watch that happen live in Sweat Mode, which is free and doesn't need an account.

Where our own settlement disagrees with the bookmaker's, the ticket is held for a human to look at rather than guessed at.

• Open the ticket and tap Copy code. The code goes to your clipboard and the bookmaker opens in a new tab.
• Log in to your own bookmaker account and find the booking-code field — on SportyBet it's the “Load code” box on the bet slip.
• Paste the code and load it. The selections appear on your slip.
• Enter your own stake and place it yourself. TipHub never places a bet for you and never touches your bookmaker account.

Plenty of codes are free — they carry a green FREE badge and you can open them without an account. Premium codes are unlocked one at a time with Paystack, or you can subscribe to a creator monthly and get everything they post.

Creators keep 80% of every unlock and every subscription. The remaining 20% runs the platform. Both numbers are shown to you at checkout.

What we measure

Win rate is the share of a creator's settled tickets that won. ROI assumes one flat unit staked on every ticket: a win returns the odds minus your stake, a loss costs the stake, and voided tickets are excluded from both. Pending tickets count for nothing until they settle.

Why the leaderboard isn't just win rate

A creator needs a handful of settled tickets before they rank at all, and the ranking weights win rate by how many tickets it's based on. One lucky pick at long odds shouldn't top a board, so it can't.

Any account can become a creator. You'll be asked for your NIN — it's hashed, never stored as a number, and exists only so one person can't run two creator accounts. Then you paste a code, we scan it, and you set a price or publish it free.

Payouts are 80% of what you earn, and you'll need to add your bank details in Creator Studio before we can send them.

You can't publish a code whose first match has already kicked off, and you can't delete a ticket once it's sold or settled. Both rules exist to make your record worth something.
